I’m a Guest

If you’re a guest to our wedding, you might still have a few questions.
I will answer them here!

Where is the wedding?

  • The wedding will take place at Sea Horse Ranch.
  • You will be provided with a ticket WHICH YOU WILL NEED TO ENTER SEA HORSE RANCH.
  • The ceremony will take place on a beach on the easternmost part of the property, called Canal. You will be directed by security upon entering the premises as to where to go.
  • The dinner will take place at the Sea Horse Ranch Beach Club. You will once again be directed by security as to how to get to the beach club from the beach.
  • The “after-party” and the rest of the evening will also take place at the beach club.
  • Transport from the gates to the beach club will be provided for those arriving by motorcycle.

What time is the wedding?

  • The exact time of the ceremony is still to be determined
  • We are working with natural light for our images and want to make sure we’ve timed the ceremony well with regards to the sunset
  • The preliminary time for now is 5pm

What should I wear?

  • The wedding is semi-formal. What does that mean?
  • Dress to impress, but remember we’re on the beach, and everything’s more chill on the beach ;)
  • When choosing footwear take into account that you will be stepping in the sand for the ceremony.
  • If you have been invited to the ceremony, and you would like for our pictures to be especially awesome, we recommend you dress in tones of blue, green, teal, or kaki. The wedding theme will be sea-glass and driftwood.
  • If you have been invited to the “after-party”, dress as if this were a New Year’s party on the beach.

Should we bring gifts?

  • No
  • We have no registry
  • We expect no gifts
  • We ask for your love only
  • Please bring lots of love and no gifts

**UPDATE** Some people have insisted they must bring us a gift. We’d like to reiterate that we expect NOTHING, but if you really must, please bring cash. We only need travel gear and have not yet done all the research we need to have a travel gear registry. If you bring us cash we will write you a personal thank you letting you know what awesome gear your donation contributed to. HOWEVER, we’d rather you just brought us lots of love.

What will the evening be like?

  • Awesome
  • Ok Ok, I’ll get more specific.
  • Weather permitting we will have a small and personal ceremony on the beach
  • A photo session will happen immediately following the ceremony, we will take pictures with the whole group, then with our families, and then just the two of us.
  • While we proceed with the pictures, our guests will be invited back to the Beach House for some signature drinks and aperitif before the wedding
  • We will then have a sit-down-yet-casual dinner for our ceremony guests with specialty salads and BBQ
  • Following the dinner, our special friends “Spanglish” will entertain us with an acoustic set.
  • Weather permitting we will light a bonfire on the beach adjoining the beach house
  • After the Spanglish set, we will spice things up with our official first dance as a couple, following which we will invite all of our guests to join us on the dance floor to our favorite bachatas.
  • At this point the “after-party” guests should be arriving.
  • Weather permitting we will then move down to the beach to send out sky lanterns.
  • Spanglish will take the stage again with a rock and roll set
  • Some surprise entertainment and “games” have been planned for the evening which will not be disclosed prior to the event.
  • The evening will continue to unfold until everyone’s gone to bed. :)

How much money should I bring?

  • Dinner is on us for the ceremony guests.
  • As are the aperitifs and the wine during dinner.
  • Further drinks will be available from the bar at a special price for the rest of the evening.
  • Please budget your evening accordingly.

How do I know if I’ve been invited to the ceremony or after-party?

  • You will be provided with a ticket WHICH YOU WILL NEED TO ENTER SEA HORSE RANCH.
  • This ticket will make it clear.

Musical Requests

  • We will not hire a DJ for the evening.
  • We will have live bands and a playlist.
  • If there are specific songs you would like to hear, or suggest, for the evening, please suggest them either in the comments section below, or by emailing me.
  • You can make suggestions for the bands to learn or prepare, or to add to the playlist.
  • All requests will be taken into consideration.

  1. CONGRATULATIONS to the young couple. If you are planning to come to Germany you are most welcome to stay at my home, which is a good location to visit the Mercedes Benz and Porsche museum in Stuttgart and Strasbourg or Konstant lake and Zürich in Switzerkand.
