Hello Folks!

This is my first post here!

I’m so excited about this, allow me to introduce myself! I’m Jade from We Travel and Blog, and this is my new side project!

It’s technically a wedding blog, all about how to stay within a tight budget while still having an incredible wedding. But I hope to keep using it beyond the wedding to talk about all of the tear-jerking stuff that’s a little too estrogen laden for the regular, adrenaline driven blog. :)

Love is a hard thing to describe.

Yet is immediately recognizable. There are many kinds of love, which makes it even more confusing. You can fall in it, but you can also make it.

That last part is the part that’s most interesting to me, because falling in love is something that just happens, by accident, and naturally. It’s cupid’s little leg up.

If you want it to last though, you have to take over where cupid left off, and as a couple, you have to keep weaving love, creating love, making love.

It doesn’t have to be hard work

This is what a lot of people fear, and it doesn’t have to involve a million sacrifices either. But it isn’t something that’ll do itself, and it takes two to tango.

Gabriel and I are saying “I do” on April 15th, 2014, and we’re going to do our darnest to make sure only death does us part. Failure is not an option.

So this blog is a log of our adventures in love making, the hardships and the great times alike, it will be as epic as our round-the-world journey, but in a slightly more homey sort of way.
